Arkheia · Technical

Technical Playground

Runtime mechanics, agent discipline, and continuous characterisation. This page assumes Arkheia is already deployed. The focus is what actually happens at runtime — and how that behaviour is sustained over time.

§ 01 · The Runtime Control Loop

Model outputtokens + metadataArkheiasignal + evidenceZone signalSAFEREVIEWHOLDAgent actionretry / verify / proceedRemediation loopretrieve · verify · repair · retryHard stoptool calls blockedescalation invokedAudit trailrun ID · decision · evidence

The zone is a control signal. Review is software. Hold is a boundary. Trust is enforced before downstream effects propagate.

SAFE

Output proceeds. Run logged. Optional sampling. The fast path — the majority of well-behaved invocations clear here without delay.

REVIEW

Agent executes remediation policy. Retrieval, verification, constraint-based repair. Retry under modified conditions. Review is handled by software loops.

HOLD

Execution blocked. Tool calls prevented. Escalation invoked. Full audit event recorded. Hold decisions cannot be overridden downstream.

§ 02 · The Integration Contract

Minimum input
  • Model identifier (provider + version)
  • Output tokens (stream or final)
  • Prompt reference (hash preferred)
  • Execution metadata (timestamps, latency)
Optional but powerful
  • Retrieval references
  • Tool invocation trace
  • Stable workflow run ID
  • Corpus reference
Arkheia returns
  • zone — safe | review | hold
  • run_id — traceable to surface + corpus
  • evidence_ref — pointer to audit envelope
  • recommended_action — policy-resolved next step

The zone is intentionally coarse. Granularity lives in evidence and policy, not in UI semantics.

§ 03 · Agent Policy Propagation

Every agent and sub-agent loads the same integrity semantics at startup. When an orchestrator spawns sub-agents: the run_id is inherited. Integrity rules are inherited. Escalation semantics are inherited. Hold decisions cannot be overridden.

Instruction propagation

Deployments enforce behaviour via agentname.md, integrity.md, escalation.md, and shared routing bundles. Policy is distributed at startup — not negotiated at runtime.

This prevents policy drift across parallel execution branches. Each branch enforces the same semantics regardless of spawning order.

Remediation patterns
  • Retrieval against pinned corpora
  • Deterministic tool verification
  • Constraint-based rewriting
  • Cross-check strategies
  • Structured output enforcement

False positives are cheap because remediation is automated.

§ 04 · The Model Lab

Arkheia is backed by a continuous Model Lab. Not static evaluation — an ongoing characterisation process. 30+ model surfaces maintained.

Characterisation surfaces
  • Behavioural fingerprint
  • Stability characteristics
  • Variation experiments
  • Corpus references
  • Validation date
  • Model version

Each surface is traceable.

Variation experiments
  • Temperature shifts
  • Context length changes
  • Retrieval noise
  • Prompt perturbations
  • Tool-invocation scenarios
  • Distribution shifts

Objective: behavioural stability and separation, not semantic correctness.

Drift detection
  • Signal separation shifts
  • Stability degradation
  • Distribution divergence
  • Unexpected behavioural clustering

When drift exceeds tolerance: alerts, calibration gates, rollout paused. Drift is monitored, not discovered post-incident.

§ 05 · Calibration Events

Before model promotion:
  1. 1Run against pinned corpora
  2. 2Compare surface characteristics
  3. 3Measure separation deltas
  4. 4Validate zone stability
  5. 5Approve or reject rollout

This prevents silent regression in production integrity. Calibration events are logged.

§ 06 · Evidence & Traceability

Detection internals remain private. Operational evidence remains exportable.

§ 07 · Lifecycle Rollout Strategy

01
Shadow Mode

Observe without enforcement. Zone signals are computed and logged but not acted on. Baseline established, policy calibrated.

02
Soft Gates

Review handled by agent loops. HOLD zones surface to operators for confirmation. Hard blocking not yet active.

03
Hard Gates

Hold enforced for impact-sensitive workflows. Tool calls blocked on HOLD zone. Escalation paths active.

04
Calibration Gates

Surface validation required before model update rollout. No model version change proceeds without a calibration event.

Trust becomes executable. Not retrospective.

§ 08 · What This Page Is Not

This page does not describe: algorithm internals, feature engineering, detection thresholds, adversarial mechanics. Those remain private.

What is exposed here is operational behaviour and lifecycle discipline.

Arkheia is not a semantic patch. It is a behavioural control system backed by continuous model characterisation.
